Our Heritage / The Code of Conduct
The Ilboru Code of Conduct is a formal framework that governs student behavior, discipline, and academic responsibility. It is derived from national education standards and official school regulations, ensuring that all students maintain high moral character and discipline at all times.
Good behavior is mandatory at Ilboru. Every student must demonstrate respect, discipline, and obedience to all teachers, staff, and school authorities.
Students are required to follow all school rules and maintain proper conduct both inside and outside the school environment. Respect and courtesy toward others are fundamental expectations at all times.
Students must not consume alcohol, smoke, or engage in any immoral behavior. Obedience to teachers and school leaders is compulsory, and any form of disrespect or defiance is strictly prohibited.
Leaving the school compound without official permission is not allowed. Students must carry authorized passes when permitted to leave school grounds.
Cleanliness of personal spaces, classrooms, dormitories, and school surroundings is the responsibility of every student.
Students must attend all lessons, including night preparation sessions, and participate fully in academic and school activities.
School property must be respected at all times. Any damage caused will be repaired at the expense of the responsible student.
Fighting, abusive language, theft, and disruptive behavior are strictly forbidden. Students must also maintain punctuality in all school programs.
Students are strictly prohibited from possessing mobile phones, SIM cards, radios, heaters, or any electrical devices within the school.
Access to inappropriate materials, including offensive publications or content, is not allowed. Gambling, attending entertainment venues, or engaging in unsafe external activities is strictly forbidden.
Serious violations may result in suspension or expulsion. These include theft, drug use, violence, destruction of property, disrespect to the national flag, and participation in riots or disruption of school order.
Other major offences include truancy, unauthorized absence, immoral conduct, refusal of punishment, and possession of prohibited items such as mobile phones.
All disciplinary measures are enforced according to national education regulations and official school procedures.
Every student is required to read, understand, and formally agree to these rules upon joining the school. By signing the agreement, the student commits to maintaining discipline and upholding the standards of Ilboru.
The Code of Conduct ensures that Ilboru remains a structured, disciplined, and high-achieving institution for all students.
