Leadership and Governance

Our Heritage / Leadership and Governance

Ilboru Secondary School is a state-operated institution for the gifted, functioning under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology of the United Republic of Tanzania. The institution is governed by a formal School Board, which serves as the primary supervisory body responsible for ensuring strategic alignment with national academic objectives and the steadfast maintenance of institutional integrity.

Ilboru Secondary School maintains a structured governance model through specialized committees that ensure operational efficiency and academic excellence. These bodies function under the authority of the School Board and the Office of the Headmaster to address specific institutional needs.

  • Academic Advisory Committee: This body oversees the rigorous implementation of the national curriculum, focusing on STEM innovation and the performance of gifted scholars.

  • Finance and Planning Committee: Responsible for the strategic management of institutional resources, this group ensures fiscal transparency and the long-term development of campus infrastructure.

  • Discipline and Ethics Committee: This committee upholds the school’s core values by fostering a high standard of conduct and professional integrity among both students and staff.
